Event - World Book Day

1 March 2018

Today the whole school came together to celebrate World Book Day.

This day is always a highlight and the standard of costumes were amazing as always. Both staff and pupils came dressed as their favourite book character and what a wide variety we had - from Alice in Wonderland (complete with rabbit) to Cat in the Hat! It was great to see everybody joining in on the fun.

A variety of book related activities were completed by all children throughout the day. All children completed a quality writing piece based around a book in the morning as well as an art activity in the afternoon. Year 2 explored traditional tales, Year 3 designed new sweet treats for Willy Wonka and Year 1 painted in the style of Beatrix Potter.

This day definitely shares a positive message and it was great to see the children all come together to share in their joy of reading. All children can now continue this with the book token they received.

We would like to thank the parents/carers for all their hard work in preparing some truly outstanding outfits.

What a fantastic day!
