Event - Year 6 at the National Space Centre
20 April 2026
Year 6 had an exciting day visiting the National Space Centre in Leicester.
We began our day by climbing up 144 steps, stopping on four different floors to discover more about the many journeys to space. We even saw a real piece of the moon!
We then made our way down to the planetarium where we watched a video about astronauts in space- what they wear, the training they have to take part in and the dangers they face on their way!
After this, we explored lots of interactive areas, focusing on our universe, the solar system and space exploration.
